Nationalization of a major US industry [✓]

One hundred days of Obama and the government already has complete control of the largest automaker. The stockholders who owned 90% of it a few months ago now have about a 6% ownership and not a single director.

Nationalization of a major US industry. That was quick. And you should see what they did to Bank of America, in secret, hidden from the stockholders who also once owned their company. Now they own a piece of it, and the piece is about to get smaller.

From the GM Press Release:
"As a result of its ownership of GM common stock, the U.S. Treasury will be able to elect all of our directors and to control the vote on substantially all matters brought for a stockholder vote. In addition, through its stockholder voting rights and election of directors, and its role as a significant lender to us, the U.S. Treasury will be able to exercise significant influence and control over our business if it elects to do so."
So, I wonder how long any talented employees will stay on board... especially high paid talent that will be getting pay cuts now. The union came out quite well, still getting base pay + benefits far above the Toyota and Honda labor force in the US. The union thinks they have won this round. But they have probably sealed their fate... as losers.

In our observations, we have found that liberals like to demonize people they disagree with, instead of backing their ideas up with logic. Instead of using logic they personally attack individuals reputations with false accusations. Leftists cannot beat a conservative in the game of ideas. Fox News keeps it real, by showing us the left's agenda to demonize anyone that disagrees with them and then takes a more serious side by showing us a disturbing tape of what kind of evil the Taliban is still doing in our world.

Possible Interrogation Probe Dashes Hopes for Bipartisanship Under Obama



Some Republicans believe President Obama killed any chance for bipartisanship when he opened the possibility of prosecution and a congressional investigation of Bush-era lawyers who authorized "enhanced" interrogation techniques on terror suspects.

Mark your calendar: April 21, 2009. That's when the Era of Bipartisanship died.

That's what some Republicans suggested after President Obama opened the possibility of a congressional investigation and prosecution of Justice Department lawyers who authorized "enhanced" interrogation techniques on terror suspects during the Bush administration.

If the coffin needs a final nail, it will come if Democrats decide to fast-track Obama's legislative priorities through a budget maneuver known as "reconciliation."

Democrats in the House and Senate agreed Friday on a budget framework that would protect Obama's health care plan from a Republican filibuster using the tactic.

Republicans and some Democrats oppose reconciliation because it would prevent a long debate on what they consider complex issues.

Bipartisanship was already on life support after Republicans largely opposed the president's economic policies, and it took a turn for the worse on Tuesday when Obama said it would be up to his attorney general to determine whether "those who formulated those legal decisions" behind the interrogation methods should be prosecuted.

Obama uses blatent lies to chip away at your constitutional rights

Whether or not you agree with it, the 2nd amendment reaffirms to us the natural right of self-protection. It is the responsibility of all government officials to respect and uphold such rights—the President even takes an oath to do so.

Using the "Big Lie" technique for public persuasion, Barack Obama and friends have begun their campaign to re-create the U.S. Constitution in their own image.

On Thursday, while on a visit to Mexico, the president continued his Blame America First tour. "This war is being waged with guns purchased not here but in the United States," he said, referring to the drug wars that are tearing apart our neighbor to the south. "More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that lay in our shared border."

It is completely untrue that 90 percent of guns recovered in Mexico are from America. The Mexican government separates guns it confiscates that were made in the United States and sends them here to be traced. U.S. weapons are easy to identify because of clear markings.

Of the ones sent here to be traced, 90 percent turn out to be from America, but most guns recovered in Mexico are not sent here so are not included in the count. Fox News reported that 17 percent is a more accurate number. [Read the Myth of 90 percent on Foxnews.com]

Democrats aren't alone in repeating phony gun statistics. The New York Times, CNN and numerous networks continue to repeat the 90 percent figure with no reporting to back it up. The hysteria is used to create the notion that a major problem exists with American guns - and Mr. Obama is anxious to step in to solve that problem with a $400 million program to stop U.S. guns from going to Mexico. That initiative would include clampdowns on U.S. gun shops.

We just got back from the Seattle Tea-party and are feeling very inspired. We are so happy to know that for one of the most liberal cities in America, Seattle still holds some strong committed constitutionalists. Thank you to all the Seattlites that showed their tea-party support and enthusiasm to hold this countries leaders accountable. The next Seattle Tea-party will be held on July 4th.

Too Good To Be True? Obama Iraq Troop Greeting Allegedly Staged

So says MacsMind (via Flopping Aces via Minority Report via Jeff Emanuel at RedState).

MacsMind's post is in response to an all-too-predictable gusher delivered by Democratic operative disguised as Associated Press reporter Jennifer Loven on April 7 (bold is mine):

Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, President Barack Obama flew unannounced into Iraq on Tuesday and promptly declared it was time for Iraqis to "take responsibility for their country" after America's commitment of six years and thousands of lives.

"You have given Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country," the president said as he made a brief inspection of a war he opposed as candidate and now vows to end as commander in chief. "That is an extraordinary achievement."

MacsMind contends that the troop contingent was contrived, based on an e-mail he says he received "from a sergeant that was there." The corresponding sergeant also dropped a telltale clue (in bold):

We were pre-screened, asked by officials “Who voted for Obama?”, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up.

Take a look at the picture at AP and notice all the cameras are the same models? Coincidence? I think not.

Well, well, here's the picture in question:


Indeed, there are an awful lot of cameras that look awfully identical.

Another consolidated wire report found at the Dallas Morning News at midnight on April 8 described the event as "hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly" and as "a stunning show of appreciation for Obama from military men and women who have made great sacrifices, many serving repeated tours in a highly unpopular war."

So it seems that the establishment press got played. It also appears that New Media made them look like the fools they are. And it looks like Team Obama is going to have to improve its stealth techniques the next time around.

Staying true to the Red, White, and Blue


As we promised in our commitment to supporting and defending America's forming documents, we have decided to post over the next few days The Declaration of Independence in its original text.

The Declaration of Independence, completed and signed in July of 1776, marked the official separation between the 13 colonies and Great Britain. An armed struggle between the colonies and Britain had begun just over a year before, with the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The formal declaration of independence established the new American revolutionary government and officially declared war against Great Britain. The primary purpose of the declaration was to assist the Second Continental Congress in obtaining aid from foreign countries. The document also clearly outlines the history of abuses the colonists had suffered under British rule since the end of the French and Indian war in 1763.

Obamas Hungry for Some Pizza


Is it just us or has 'hypocrite' taken on a whole new meaning with our beloved President Obama. In a story posted by the Daily Mail, the article praises the fact that President Obama flew a chef 860 miles just to make him and his staff pizza. With all this global warming jargon taking place, don't you think the far left environmentalist wackos would have protests to do about Obama's misuse of carbon emissions? On top of that, where in this economy does he get the money to fly this pampered chef to his side..... but from his taxpayers own pockets. Does this strike anyone else as incredibly irresponsible and hypocritical?

Huge Crowds Expected for Atlanta Tea Party


Yesterday organizers appealed for funds to help support the Tax Day Tea Party to be held at the State Capitol on the evening of Wednesday, April 15. Organizers are now estimating that the crowd could be as large as 5,000-10,000, partly due to the fact that Fox News personality Sean Hannity will be broadcasting live from the Atlanta event.
